The first season finale episode S01E27 “The Ties that Bind” had this wonderful, classic montage of all the characters to the strains of “Hallelujah,” as Ryan heads back home to Chino. The shiny image of Marissa on the curb from the pilot is brought back here but with a sadder tone as Ryan leaves The OC Marissa heads straight back to the bottle. Seth can’t take losing his best friend, and sails away on his catamaran into the open sea…..

@HatemShredHed It was an amazing show amd good of got more seasons but fans tuned out. It was hard for me when season four wa done it was like loosing a part of my life.

the oc was great I loved it but if only their were more supporters for season 5 more viewers

season 1 was the best season of teen drama ever and i reckon thats why everyone said the rest of the series was shit because i love all the oc maybe not season 4 as much but season 2 and 3 were still great to me but season 1 was unbelievably good

It’s tragic to realize how close is my life with Ryan and how many common things I have with him. If he was a friend of mine I would live dedicate him Last Resort by Papa Roach
This was one of the first tv shows that made me cry, and this episode especially does it still to this day.
and like what city1wok said below me, it was such a huge part of my life and it makes me both happy and sad rewatching it all…
