My MP3 player, an Emerson brand, is playing music from both the speakers of the device AND my headphones at the same time. I’ve been trying to listen to my music in private with my headphones, but the music is still heard loud and clear through the built-in speaker…

I’ve made sure the headphones are plugged in all the way; I’ve even switched headphones!
