I wanted to know how to assign different ringtones to different people on my LG shine. I don’t know if its even possible!
Its not like other phones, I can’t do it through the phonebook that I know of.

Ok here’s what you do. When your in your contacts list, you edit them to have a ringtone but they HAVE TO BE IN HANDSET and not smartchip which is really stupid…Theres another way to make groups and they all can have a ring. Go to menu, address book, then caller groups. You can make new caller groups too but they have to be in handset to have a ringtone.
it should be possible just go ove to the ringtone and click options and click set and hit contact
