I just got my new lg scoop from alltel. I was wondering how I can get my ringtones to work on it. They worked for my Razr. They are songs off of a CD that I used a ringtone maker to make them into ringtones, but it doesnt show up in the "My Audio" folder when choosing a ringtone. I am using a memory card.

I’m having the same issues with my new scoop from alltel. I have been researching this because I have a ton of custom ringers that I texted to myself from my old phone (I gave it to my son) and can’t get them to work. My understanding is that Alltel has blocked the use all ringers other than those purchased through them. I am going to buy the USB cable to connect my Scoop to my pc to see if I can move my ringtones into the my media ringtones folder from there, however I don’t have a lot of faith that this is going to work. Soooo……on that note, Alltel has a 15 day grace period in which you can trade your new phone for a different model. If you do end up getting something else try this website, http://www.mobango.com It really is 100% free and they have hundreds of thousands of ringtones, wallpapers, games, etc. to download to your mobile phone.
Good Luck To You!!!
I’m sorry, I don’t have the phone, but I just read another yahoo-er asking the same thing and someone answered him, saying that Alltel has blocked certain phones from homemade ringtones in an effort to have consumers buy from them. I’m sorry!
